Helio Ocean, Blackberry 8820, Sidekick 4, or HTC Mogul?

**UPDATE** Let’s add the Nokia E61i to the mix, shall we?

I’m leaning towards the Helio Ocean, it has everything I want except WiFi. Worried about it being a boutique wireless carrier (hello, Amp’d).

The Blackberry 8820 is perfect, but lacks a camera. I’m in love the trackball interface.

The Sidekick 4 has T-Mobile’s All-You-Can-Eat data only plan for only $29.99 a month, but no GPS *or* WiFi.

HTC has the best screen yet at 4″ but is missing GPS. Runs Windows Mobile 6, so that means it will have tons of apps to pirate download legally.

Sigh. Why can’t somebody make my perfect convergence device? All I want is:

    QWERTY keyboard
    large widescreen
    GPS
    Bluetooth 2.0
    2.0 MP camera or greater
    WiFi
    full HTML web browser
    push e-mail

I don’t care about music or videos, that’s what I have my 80 GB iPod for. I don’t even care to make voice calls on it, I’m quite happy with my little Nokia from Verizon. If I had to choose RIGHT NOW it would come down to the Helio Ocean or the HTC Mogul, since the Sidekick 4 and the Blackberry 8820 aren’t out yet.

Which one catches your eye?

  1. I’d go with the Helio Ocean. The phone itself is fantastic, and I’ve done a little research on the company. It’s basically the American arm of a major Korean cellular provider, so I’m pretty confident that they’ll be around for the long haul. Much more confident than I was, say, 3 days ago.
