Goodbye, Movable Type.\u00a0 Hello, WordPress!<\/p>\n
WordPress is the shit.\u00a0 Easy to set up and maintain, easy to post blogs, easy to edit, easy easy easy.\u00a0 Not only that, WordPress is totally free and open source.\u00a0 And to top it all off, WordPress has a ton of free themes available.<\/p>\n
I’m really happy with the WP interface.\u00a0 The admin panels are logical, well designed, and of course easy to use.\u00a0 The learning curve was, like, nothing.\u00a0 And, it’s way more powerful than MT.<\/p>\n
WP is free and open source and I love that.\u00a0 The entire open source community is fantastic.\u00a0 Most of the applications that I run on my computer are freeware\/open source.\u00a0 And in many cases, better than the stuff you have to pay for.\u00a0 If it weren’t for PC games, I’d have moved to the freeware\/open source operating system, Linux, long ago.<\/p>\n
WP themes are everywhere I look now.\u00a0 They are easy to install, free to use, etc.\u00a0 I actually found very few MT themes that were ready to use and freely available.\u00a0 Basically, if you wanted something that looked cool for MT you either had to do it yourself or pay someone else to do it.\u00a0 On the other hand, I’ve found about 10 superb WP themes that I’m ready to use right now.\u00a0 It was very hard for me to decide on the current theme.\u00a0 And I didn’t have to edit a single thing.<\/p>\n
I finished uploading all my photoalbums late last night.\u00a0 Today I fixed the Photoalbums link (on top and on right side)…\u00a0 everything is now working and updated and all that.<\/p>\n
So that was a lot less painful than I had anticipated.\u00a0 I really should have done this sooner.\u00a0 I would have saved myself a lot of grief.<\/p>\n
