I mean, I saw my truck. I inspected it. The shit is fucked up, bad. I didn’t think there was any way it could be fixed for a reasonable amount of money.

But my insurance company is willing to spend $2300. This was a big surprise to me–I thought I was only covered up to $1600. Oh well, I’m not going to argue. The thing that I find peculiar is this: the body shop that I took my truck to has quoted *exactly* $2300 to fix the damage. Doesn’t that sound a little odd to you? This is the body shop that my insurance company insisted that I take my truck to.

Let’s recap. Someone hits my truck and diasppears. I call insurance company and they say to take it to ABC body shop. ABC body shop says they can fix it. My insurance company says that they’ll cover $2300. ABC body shop quotes exactly that amount, $2300.

What a scam. Whatever, it doesn’t cost my anything. I never really cared about my truck’s looks anyway. All I ever wanted was a reliable truck. I hope that after I get it back it still is.

They’re going to fix my truck!
