Whew, what a day! Scott called to let me know he would be in Jack London Square while I was in the gym. Dave called to let me know that he was going over to have lunch with Scott. I called them both to let them know that I was coming too.<\/p>\n
I met them at a little pizza shack on Park Street in Alameda. I think everyone who knows me knows that I hate the Bay Area, however if I had to pick one place to live here it would be the island city in the Bay. Alameda reminds me very much of Long Beach–it’s situated on the water, it has a lot of older buildings, and a main strip with all the bars and restaurants and whatnot.<\/p>\n
Lunch was fun, we had a few pitchers of Coors Light and caught up. The three of us haven’t been in the same room together in a couple years. It was awesome to kick it with my two best friends again. After lunch we drove over to Jack London Square and sat outside, upstairs, at a little bar that looked kind of like a lighthouse. We sat in the sun and drank some more and all was right with the world.<\/p>\n
Around 5 o’clock we picked up a 12 pack and went back to Scott’s hotel room and waited for traffic to die down. Dave went home at 8pm, and Scott and I had a nice dinner at Tony Roma’s.<\/p>\n
And now I’m home. I miss my buddies already. I’ll see Dave tomorrow though. With Scott you just never know…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
