Right now I’m listening to Beck’s new album, Sea Change.<\/a> Well, it was released last year but whatever. The point is I’m listening to this album and I’m thinking, “THIS is Beck???” It’s incredible. He sure has come a long way since his hit single “Loser”. This album really shows his maturity and his range as an artist. I’m blown away, really.<\/p>\n

In other news I got my grad check back. Everything is A-OK, as the astronauts say. As long as I pass all my classes this semester and next I shall graduate. It’s about time, too. I’ll be 32 in a couple months. So I’ll have my BA in Liberal Studies: focus Computer Science, minor in History.<\/p>\n

“Hey Tom, what can you do with that?”
\n“Hey Tom, what are you going to do after graduation?”<\/p>\n

I love those questions, I really do. To me that’s like asking, “What are you doing this weekend?” How about whatever I feel like doing? Like I’m supposed to have every day of the rest of my life planned out. I don’t want to make a commitment to one career, only to find out I hate it. Besides, to me there is nothing more tragic than some poor sap that does the same thing his entire life. If he’s lucky he’ll retire and get to enjoy it for a few years, and then die. I’m just not built that way. I’m like a tumbleweed, going wherever the wind takes me. I’m the Jack of All Trades type. I’m sure I’ll have a few dozen careers by the end of my life. I just want to live the fullest life possible. I want to explore this vast world we live in, meet as many interesting people as I can, and take it all in. One day, on my death bed, I want to be able to say these two little words and mean it, really and truly believe it: “no regrets”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
