Happy anniversary

Hippocleides Doesn’t Care is three years old!

Damn.  So much has happened in these last three years.  I’m glad I wrote the words and took the pictures to remember them by.  I’d sure like to look back 10, 20, 30, hell 40 years from now and look at the way things used to be.

In other news, the DWD Podcast crew will be assembling in the DWD Podcast studio tomorrow (Wednesday  25 October 2006).  Beer, cocktails, appetizers, and pizza will be served.  Tracks will be laid down.

Look for a new show on the DWD Podcast website soon!

PMD sets in

I’m back from my week of isolation in the mountains. No electricity, no phones, no cell phones, no TV, no computers, no Internet, no radio… just fresh air, friends, and good times.

No animals were harmed or killed this trip–only beer cans and clay pigeons.

Speaking of beer, here’s the list of alcohol we consumed in only seven days: 12 30-packs of Coors Light, 2 bottles of Skyy vodka, 2 bottles of Captain Morgan, 1 bottle of Kahlua, 1 bottle of Crown Royal, and 1 bottle of Makers Mark.  Wow.  In fact, the last two days we were just about out of beer, so we just drank the hard stuff.

It’s no wonder we didn’t kill anything this year (except brain cells).

I wish I could say that I was happy to be home, but I’m not. Post-mountains depression (PMD) has set in, and I’m in the thick of it. I guess there’s nothing left to do but drink.

You know what to do… here are the pics from the annual Trinity hunting trip, October 2006.
