Bye, Dave!

Yesterday (Friday) was Dave’s last day as a manager at SBC. He’s still with the company, but he’s moving on to the engineering department, where he will be designing fiber optic networks with 3D computer software type stuff. It’s a much better use of his talents–Dave has always been a very creative kind of guy, not to mention he’s a great artist. So anyway, his guys threw a little shin-dig for him at Hayward’s only brewpub, Buffalo Bill’s.

What a turnout! About 20 SBC employees showed up and a dozen or so of his friends from outside work. I got to see some people that I haven’t talked to in years, including the girl I took to my highschool’s junior prom, Nicole!

After many rounds of fresh homebrewed ale and countless appetizers Dave and I came back to my house for more beer and a marathon WoW session. Needless to say, Mr. David K. Finn II was not in any shape to drive home, so he crashed here.

Da Guy

Dave came over today, which isn’t out of the ordinary–Dave’s always here. However, we were pleasantly surprised with a visit by none other than BriDaGuy! I couldn’t believe it. I haven’t seen Brian since he renewed his vows with his wife 6 years ago (I think). Turns out he was visiting his parents up the hill, so he thought he’d stop by and say hello. The 3 of us played the world’s fastest version of catchup, and proceeded to drink alcohol and abuse tobacco.

And a good time was had by all.
